Fall Rescue/Confined Space with Breathing Air
2025-05-19-Redning for lukket rom med pusteluft
Our course in Rope-based Fall Rescue with Confined Space is a comprehensive and complete rescue training for industrial emergency response, both offshore and onshore.
In this course, you will receive comprehensive training in accordance with Offshore Norway's Guideline 113 (NOG 113), as well as extensive and thorough training in confined space entry in emergency situations.
The course is suitable for all industrial emergency response teams at workplaces where work is performed at heights and/or in confined spaces. It meets the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority's requirements for documented training in the use of rescue equipment and relevant emergency response capabilities, as well as documented training in the use of breathing air.
It is our ambition that you will leave the course with a solid understanding of what you have learned, so that you, as part of a team, can perform rescues in various scenarios.
To participate in the course, you must have undergone basic fall protection training. The course includes both practical and theoretical parts, but with a main focus on the practical aspects. The course can be adapted to comply with NS 9610 if desired.
Key points of the course:
- Training in the use of breathing air equipment (SCBA / respiratory protection) and its use in confined spaces.
- The equipment will be used in scenarios combined with fall protection and rescue equipment, such as navigation in ladders and entry into tanks and confined spaces in our course facilities.
- A gas meter will also be used to assess entry in an emergency situation.
- Participants will practice navigation and rescue at heights, as well as in tanks and difficult-to-access spaces.
- The course will be extended by one day to provide full training in the use of breathing air, also known as smoke diving equipment (note, however, that this is not a smoke diver course).
