Personnel who want SOFT certified education within rope access
You must be at least 22 years old to participate in the course. Additionally, a valid health certificate, not older than three years, must be presented at the beginning of the course. Candidates must also demonstrate fulfillment of at least one of the following requirements: A minimum of 600 hours of work in ropes, spread over at least three years; At least five years of experience as an instructor in mountain climbing courses in accordance with the standards of the Norwegian Mountain Sports Forum; Certification as a UIAGM-approved mountain guide; Membership and active participation in an alpine rescue group affiliated with the Norwegian Alpine Rescue Group (NARG).
In the theoretical training, you will acquire in-depth knowledge of workplace environment regulations and equipment legislation. Guiding operators and planning work execution are essential focus areas.
In the practical training, we emphasize that you should master all rope access technique methods. Planning and execution of complex rescue scenarios, continuous risk assessments, and guidance are important practical elements of the course.
