Made from hard wearing HDPE plastic, it will stand up to the harshest of environments. Its smooth, low profile underside means it can be dragged without fear of damage or snags.
The 4 side carry loops double up as lifting points, used all together to lift horizontally, or just the upper pair to lift vertically. The 45mm casualty securing straps are colour coded with lightweight, yet tough, plastic Cobra buckles. The padded straps of the integral body harness keep the casualty extra secure, particularly when lifting vertically.
With its extra width and length, the RUSS gives enhanced security and protection to the casualty. Both the head and foot ends can be formed into a cone to deflect debris when dragging through confined spaces.
It can also be used as a lifting/sliding mat without the use of the straps. Two people can transfer a casualty from one flat area to another keeping the casualty in a horizontal mode.
Working load limit: 200kg in both horizontal & vertical lifts
