These courses are designed specifically for those who want to use ropes for job execution. The courses are typically a combination of our regular basic courses and a course in rope work, thus meeting the requirements of the Regulation on the Performance of Work regarding compliance with NS-9600 - Rope Work.
Take a look at our scheduled courses here.
The first part of the courses aims to provide participants with a good understanding of the criteria that should underlie the choice of suitable fall protection equipment for the work to be performed.
Participants will be taught about the most important types of fall protection equipment so that they have a good overview of what is available and how it is used. Emphasis is placed on practicing the establishment and use of various fall protection systems in realistic environments.
The main part of the course is devoted to rope work. We emphasize a comprehensive program where participants learn about regulations, equipment, safety philosophy, and especially rescue, in addition to practical access methods. The course is based on an interpretation of the minimum training requirements for rope work as stipulated in NS-9600, Rope Work, with some adjustments for the industry.
