GWO is the training standard for those who will work in and around a wind power plant. The standard includes modules on working at heights, ergonomics, first aid, and fire safety. AAK Safety was certified according to the GWO standard (Global Wind Organization) in the fall of 2017 and has extensive experience in training you for a safe working environment at heights.

A change in the standard allows us to make the courses more efficient and reduce the number of course hours.
The first aid course has been halved in duration, the basic module has been reduced from two days to one, while repetition is now half a day compared to a full day previously.
The new standard version has also significantly reduced the theory on physiology and pathology and has tried to better adapt to what a wind turbine technician actually needs to know in case of accidents.
There is now more focus on practical exercises related to lifesaving and basic first aid. The standard version also allows for further shortening the course by combining the ergonomics and height modules, but we have chosen not to do this. This way, we continue to adhere to the fall protection standard NS 9610, and our clients receive training that satisfies two different standards in one go.
Our GWO courses are suitable for anyone required to take the courses according to the standard, whether it's service personnel or wind turbine technicians. - With our expertise in working at heights, that part is covered by our own employees in a training facility designed specifically for these courses. For the other modules, we use professionals from the fire department, physiotherapists, and ambulance workers. We prioritize quality and competence.
