Fall Rescue/Confined Space with Breathing Air Repetition
2025-06-04-Redning for lukket rom med pusteluft repetisjon
This is a refresher course in Rope-based Fall Rescue with Confined Space. It is a complete and comprehensive rescue training course for industrial emergency response teams, both offshore and onshore.
In this refresher course, you will receive comprehensive training in accordance with Offshore Norway's Guideline 113 (NOG 113), as well as extensive and thorough training in entering confined spaces during emergency situations.
The course is suitable for all industrial emergency response teams at workplaces where work is performed at heights and/or in confined spaces. It will fulfill the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority's requirements for documented training in the use of rescue equipment and relevant emergency response capabilities, as well as documented training in the use of breathing air.
It is our ambition that you leave the course with a solid understanding of what you have learned, so that you, as part of a team, can perform rescues in various scenarios.
To participate in this course, you must have completed training in basic fall protection, as well as our 4-day course in Fall Rescue/Confined Space with Breathing Air. The course includes both practical and theoretical parts, with a primary focus on practical exercises. The course can be adapted to comply with NS 9610 if desired.
Key points in the course:
- Training in the use of breathing air equipment (SCBA/respiratory protection) and its use in confined spaces.
- The equipment will be used in scenarios along with fall protection and rescue equipment, such as navigating ladders and entering tanks and confined spaces in our training facilities.
- A gas meter will also be used to assess the safety of entering a confined space during an emergency.
- Participants will practice navigation and rescue at heights, as well as in tanks and hard-to-access spaces.
- The course provides full training in the use of breathing air, also known as smoke diving equipment (note, however, that this is not a smoke diver course).
